We had a decent and slow end to fall this year. It was a relaxing change from last year’s frantic house-selling-and-buying whirlwind.

Halloween was a quiet affair in our new place. Eleven trick-or-treaters came by, most of them from our cul-de-sac and surrounding streets. It was nice to meet more neighbours and equally nice to use our new tiny propane firepit to keep toasty (and roast some marshmallows!).
Shane celebrated his birthday by eating four different types of meals out and about: German, Mexican, Italian, and Thai.

River celebrated his birthday by eating one big meal in: a beef and peanut butter pupcake.

We also went back to Capilano Suspension Bridge, now redone for the Christmas-y Canyon Lights.
And now we are focused on getting ready for a cozy Christmas at home. We hope you are too.

That all looks awesome!
Yes, especially that beef and PB cupcake, haha.
That alien is a cool addition to the Halloween setup. Love the gargoyle too. Very cute meringue! Yes, we’re enjoying a cosy Christmas at home too. Tonight we’re getting a bit of excitement by going to the hockey game, but these days I most love quiet, candlelight and perhaps a gentle concert. Jason discovered Harpe Dei. They have a beautiful sound and we enjoyed their holiday concert online. If the Canterbury Cathedral has good sound on their Festival of Carols, I’ll give them a try too. Merry Christmas!
Oh that is a special sound! Good finds. I am glad you are finding enjoyment in the season.
