catching the tiny magical moments of life

A wild (but not wet!) birthday weekend

My mom came to the West Coast last month to celebrate her 70th with us! We were lucky to have beautiful weather the whole time. We filled it with lots of local adventures, spring sunshine, and amusing wildlife.

(Amazingly, I think all of us were more tired after everything than she was, ha.)

Happy birthday, Mom!!

    Super fun!

I have an important question. Do the slugs actually cross there?

    • Tisha

Yes actually! There’s a little creek and pond there with footpaths between.

So nice you got some mom time! Looks like fun. You got an unusual shot of the peacock. Very nice. Those little goats are so cute. They have them at the horse ranch here. The animals all seem well socialized. I’ve never seen guinea pigs in a petting zoo before. They seem so fragile.

Yes, those goats seem to have no fear of any sized humans!

Good observation. In moments of fear, a person can pretend to be a mini-goat (ha). The horns probably go a long way to instill confidence.

Amazing pictures! Looked like the perfect way for your mom to celebrate ❤️

    • Tisha

Yes, especially with the chocolate cake (not pictured but definitely eaten)!
